Always be grateful, and the world will be beautiful and bright. By worrying about others’ troubles every day, we the Qiankun hope that the world is full of warmth. Plato said, "the basic intention of the law is to make people as happy as possible." This is the responsibility of the law, but also the mission of legal proffesionals. Nearly 30 years of excercising, the genes of people in Qiankun are engraved with social responsibility.
At the beginning of the implementation of the Labor contract Law, the Yuetan labor market was crowded, and thousands of job seekers chase after life every day in the country's largest market. They experienced happiness and sadness because of ignorance of the law and thus a warm guide light is needed. Here we came! We, Qiankun lawyers, at a small desk brought the relationship between the job seekers and the law closer, we also went on our way to provide consultancy and write on behalf of the job seekers, to brought them happiness by our legal services. No matter cold winter or hot summer, wind or rain, we the Qiankun just did it for two years free of charge.
When SARS outbroke suddenly in 2003, people’s busy steps couldn’t move forward, and Death held his scythe glaring around human beings. The atmosphere was cruel and depressing. The fearless people came from Qiankun, they took the initiative to send letters to Haidian District Government, which afforded treatment for the most patients. Two lawyers, who became the heroes in harm’s way, went to the front line of rescue and treatment, transmitting the temperature of the law to the government, the patients and their families, and health care workers. The touching true feelings forced the plague god to bypass them, the lawyers from Qiankun, who worked day and night, and let their bones and souls suffering for 180 days, when a day seems like a year. At the triumphant time, the warriors were so drunk that they sang a lyrical "Prairie Night". What a group of legal people with true temperament.
During the floods in the south of China in 1998, the Olympic Games in 2008 and the Wenchuan earthquake in 2012, we the Qiankun shared the same fate with the country, donated generously, provided suggestions or legal advice, under the guidance of deep affection to the country and the people, to benefit society with our efforts. A few words can not describe how hard the process of dedicating, besides there is no need to illustrate, people will forget hard work, their hearts are proud of being able to practice social responsibility.
In the past 30 years, we the Qiankun and many other people with lofty ideals have donated love together to Ma Bian Democratic Construction Hope Primary School in Sichuan Province and 50 poor children, multimedia classroom in Laiyuan No.1 Middle School in Hebei Province, multimedia classroom in Qianjiadian Primary School in Yanqing District, poor rural areas of Wangmo County in Guizhou Province, China Foundation for Justice and Bravery, the Hope Project, Mother Water Cellar, and and so on. People in Qiankun dedicated silently. People say it's charity. That's grest! People in Qiankun think it’s nothing, they respect everyone who always has a good heart and always does good things, but they themselves do not think they are doing charity, they aren’t intended for return, what they did is nothing but to try their best to practice social responsibility.
In the year of 2020, COVID-19 raged the world, we the Qiankun took on the social responsibility solemnly. We submitted an application for assignment of war on epidemic, and whenever the country needs, we would go to fight for the happiness of the people. Remote consultation, policy interpretation, publishing articles and essays, all of these were what we the Qiankun have done to fight against the virus in a flexible manner from the beginning of the epidemic, in accordance with the unified deployment of the government.
Care about the people when you have status. We the Qiankun are always exploring the maximization of social contributions so that our legal services can benefit more people. We the Qiankun have been serveing as deputies to the National people's Congress, members of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference, advisers and think tanks of governments at all levels. We are concerned about the lawyer profession and promote lawyers’ participation in politics, go deep into the masses to understand the people's livelihood, make suggestions to help scientific development, and speak according to law to protect legal norms.
We the Qiankun carry social responsibilities on our shoulders. We never forget, give up or stop making great efforts, which is encoded in our genes and cannot be changed. We are on the way always.
